Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Rolex Yacht-Master 40 reference 126621, chocolate dial. I'm gonna talk to you guys about the case, the bezel, the dial, the bracelet, the movement, try it on, and give you my thoughts. Let's dive right in. It's using a oyster 40 millimeter case. What does that mean? From my thumb to my index finger is 40 millimeters. That's the diameter without the crown. And it's using an oyster case. Now, what is an oyster case? Well, how does that differ from any other case? Well, Rolex makes on their sports watches either the oyster case, which has these sloped lines and skinny and tailored-in like this, they make it on the Yacht-Master 40 as well as on the Daytona. On their other sports watches such as the Rolex Submariner and GMT, they use a different case, a super case which does not have these sloped thin lines. So it depends on which watch you want. This is using an oyster case and that's what it is. All right. It's also a monoblock middle case with a screw down case back. And that looks like this. That's what the back looks like. Now the material of this watch, Rolex calls it everose rolesor which is a combination of oystersteel and 18 karat everose gold. That basically just means this watch is rose gold and steel in layman terms. All right, now the bezel let's talk about that is 18 karat everose or rose gold by directional rotatable with 60 minute graduated, raised numerals. So, I can bring your attention to this. What does that mean? Well, the whole bezel is made of rose gold which obviously makes it very expensive, gold being expensive. And it has these raised numerals. You see how it's raised above, and then under that or as a base of that, it's sort of like a sandblasted look with polished raised numerals. It's very beautiful if you look at it in person. I'm pretty sure you can appreciate it on this video as well. And it's bi-directional, what does that mean? It means both , you know, what is it used for? It's used for calculating elapsed time. So you can simply place the arrow right there on the minute hand. And as time progresses you can check the bezel to see how much time has progressed. Make sense? Now, okay. Now let's talk about the next thing which is the movement. Now the movement, you can't see it in here but I'll point into it, but it's like an engine, right? Well, actually it is the engine of the car. It's a caliber 3235. Now this watch used to have a 3135 which was less precise and had a less power reserve. This is the updated movement. And you might ask yourself, why is that important? It's not important. Well, yes. Is your engine important? Is it important that your engine is four cylinders versus six? Well, that's kind of like what this is. This is using the new movement. Now, if you told me, well, I can't see it. Well, do you look in the engine of your car all the time? Probably not. At least I don't, but you know it's there and you know it's more precise and you know it's more, has a longer power reserve. Just kind of like knowing your car has a stronger engine and it's more efficient. Well, that's what this is. Now, if that doesn't matter to you and you don't really care, that's okay too. We also sell the older version but this is a review for this version which is why I'm trying to tell you what is good about this version and why Rolex has decided to go with this one. They've decided that they wanna update their models, make them more precise and more efficient hence the new movement, 3235. Okay, now let's talk about the bracelet. The bracelet is oyster flat three-piece link. That means it has three pieces across its rolls gold down the center with high polish and then brushed stainless steel. Now, why is that good? Well, it's good because it makes the watch much more robust. If you have stainless steel on the outside it doesn't stretch as much. It maintains its luster, its strength and it doesn't scratch. I think it's a great midway between an all gold watch and a steel, hence two-tone or steel and gold in this case, rose gold and steel. Now let's talk about the class, but the class is a folding oyster lock safety class with five easy link, five millimeter comfort extension. You simply click it over and then click over the top and that makes it secure. Now it has a flat buckle and where the five millimeter comfort extension is, is like this, Kapow, and that opens it and that gives you another five millimeters extension. Okay, now I told you I would try it on and give you my thoughts, but not before I tell you, hey, look if you like this watch and you liked this video please go our website, JazTime.com. J-A-Z-T-I-M-E.com. You can purchase this watch and we can send it to your house. All you gotta do is pay us and we'll do so. And we, by the way, we only take bank wire, no credit card. So anyhow, here are my thoughts. They made this watch in both chocolate and black. I really prefer for me the chocolate. I think the chocolate dial or the brown dial goes well with rose gold. And for me, they don't make a whole lot of rose gold watches. They make it in GMT and they make it in yacht master. I really like this one. The only thing I kinda don't like so much is that there's gold, can scratch on the bezel. And I guess that's part of just having gold is that it can scratch. Now you can't have both. So I guess I'm not gonna say that's a zonk but it's a very beautiful watch. I really like it. I tried wearing one of these around for a few days and you know, it's definitely a head turner. So I really like that about it. And it also looks a bit unique because it has this brown look. You don't see a lot of sports watches that are brown and Rolex has decided to go with rose gold for a lot of their GMT as well as their yacht master. So I really gotta say, I'd probably give it like a nine out of 10. I'm not really sure why I wouldn't give it a 10. Maybe if they could figure out how to make this bezel not scratchable I'd give it a 10, but yeah, this revamped version is much better, I would say. And by the way, I guess I should say for those of you if you wanna know if it's a 126621, which is the newer version, you see at the six o'clock position, there's like little Rolex coronet right there, that tells you that it's the newer version. If it doesn't have that, it's the older version, okay? Anyways, thanks for watching. And please, if you wanna buy this watch go to JazTime.com.
