Today I'm going to be reviewing the Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228348, champagne dial, baguette diamonds with a diamond bezel. I'm going to go over the case, the movement, the dial, the bezel, the bracelet, and then try it on for you. So the dial actually uses this baguette diamonds. You see the hour markers, instead of circles they're these long skinny sticks. Well, those are called baguette diamonds, and they're actually more expensive. As for the bezel, it comes in this Pave round diamonds. They also make a similar version with baguette bezel, but it's much more expensive, and it pretty much, in my opinion, does the exact same thing. So moving on to the case now they've changed this case, this is a 228348, they used to make a 218348, the older version, they made the lugs a little bit skinnier, and in my opinion, it makes the watch look a little bit better and it's a little bit thinner. Moving on to the bracelet, the bracelet hasn't changed from the older generation. It's still this president bracelet with high polished down the middle and brushed on the sides. And of course it has the hidden clasp. That means you close it and it's hidden, just like that. And it's got, of course all the correct engravings. It's kind of hard to see from the video. So I'm going to try it on.
